Uniformed Public Services

The Uniformed Public Services course offers you a great insight into life as a member of the police, fire brigade, navy or army, RAF and other services such as paramedics.

Teamwork, fitness and leadership form the foundation of the course where you will take part in fitness sessions, adventure activities, drills and exercises to prepare you for life in some of the most physically demanding and vital job roles there are.

Trips include residentials with the Army and Royal Marines. As well as this we visit Dalby Forest, East Barnby, the local Fire Station and Magistrates Court. You will also have the opportunity to participate in the Three Peaks Challenge, mountain biking and paintballing.

You will also get to hear from various speakers including experts within the Uniformed Public Services, Emergency Planning Officers and Service Career Specialists. As well as this you will learn about law government and citizenship. Criminology, war and conflict and current affairs are also studied.

Our courses are tailored to you

All you need to do is apply for the subject of your choice and we will work out the level of course with you, using your predicted and actual GCSE results and other qualifications. Maths and English are essential subjects, if you missed out on gaining an A-C grade at school these will be studied alongside your main course to give you more opportunities in the future.

Whatever level you need to start at, if you just missed out on a grade or if you need more stretch and challenge, our courses will be tailored just for you to ensure your learning success.

Level 2 and 3 qualifications are offered in uniformed public services.

What next?

Many learners go on to join the forces however UCAS points are available on completion of the Level 3 course. Universities across the country will offer options such as criminology.
