If you have a passion for putting your creativity into practice, our Performing Arts – Stage & Screen programmes will help you develop your skills ready for the Performing Arts industry of tomorrow.

Explore all aspects of the growing performing arts industry including stage, screen, and digital platform performance. You’ll learn performance principals in acting, voice and movement alongside production skills such as lighting, sound, stage & event management, and all the tools needed for the modern industry – including green screen technique, motion capture performance, voice acting and social media presenting.

At Level 1 you will study a combined Performing Arts and Music qualification that will fully prepare you to progress onto our Performance & Production or Music programmes.

You will have the opportunity to see a variety of productions to give you the chance to experience live performance up close and personal. In addition, you will receive specialist training in a variety of visiting workshops from our prestigious partners including the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Northern School of Arts, and the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain among many other industry professionals.

English & Maths

If you haven’t achieved a GCSE Grade 4 (C) in English and/or Maths you will be required to either; take a Functional Skills qualification if you have achieved a Grade 1 or 2, or retake the GCSE if you’ve achieved Grade 3. You will be fully supported by our specialist team ahead of taking the exam.
