One of our newest courses, Fashion & Textiles is the perfect choice for someone considering a career in Fashion, Costume Design or even the retail industry.
Our Fashion & Textiles courses are available at Level/s 2, 3
The Fashion & Textiles course will take a broad look at the industry including fashion design ideas, digital design skills for fashion, hand and machine manufacturing skills, and working with fashion design and accessory briefs.
You could also get the chance to look at the production and promotion of garments and accessories and how marketing is used in the industry.
English & Maths
If you haven’t achieved a GCSE Grade 4 (C) in English and/or Maths you will be required to either; take a Functional Skills qualification if you have achieved a Grade 1 or 2, or retake the GCSE if you’ve achieved Grade 3. You will be fully supported by our specialist team ahead of taking the exam.

HOW IS THIS COURSE ASSESSED?
These courses are assessed through unit assessments as required, ongoing written coursework and through the building of a portfolio of practical and written work.
We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into higher education. When applying for university we can provide support with the UCAS application and Student Finance.
Once you’ve received a Level 3 qualification you could progress into employment, or further your studies by taking other qualifications at university, for example the BA (Hons) Historical & Performance Costume for Stage & Screen which can be studied at Scarborough TEC.
