The Art and Design Foundation Diploma course will put your talents to the test and turn your creative side into a career choice full of potential. You’ll learn in our fantastic facilities and be taught by tutors who are practising artists and designers with real industry experience.
Our Art Department is packed full of specialist facilities including painting and drawing studios, a print room, textiles, 3D design and sculpture workshops and state of the art Mac suites. You will also benefit from one of the best art libraries in the North!

English & Maths
If you haven’t achieved a GCSE Grade 4 (C) in English and/or Maths you will be required to either; take a Functional Skills qualification if you have achieved a Grade 1 or 2, or retake the GCSE if you’ve achieved Grade 3. You will be fully supported by our specialist team ahead of taking the exam.

HOW IS THIS COURSE ASSESSED?
This course is assessed through a combination of project work including; practical work, essays, presentations, online learning and exhibitions.
We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into higher education. When applying for university we can provide support with the UCAS application and Student Finance.
