Automotive
Our Automotive courses are hands on and practical from day one. Do you live and breathe cars? Are motor vehicles your passion? With over 34million cars on our road today, the demand for repairing and maintaining motor vehicles in today’s modern world continues to be high. Skills shortages mean 42% of vacancies are difficult to fill and, with the industry continuing to grow, organisations are always looking for people with the right qualifications and experience.
Our workshops are kitted out with everything you would find in a professional garage including Snap-on code readers, PicoScope oscilloscopes and Bosch KTS diagnostic equipment. Outside the workshop we organise a range of exciting trips and visits. You will have the chance to take part in local and national competitions, plus industry-related shows and employer visits from organisations such as Halfords and Teng Tools.
Additional skills and knowledge you will gain on this programme include life skills from across automotive, construction and building services, workshop licence and skills for the future such as electric vehicle maintenance and repair, intelligent safety systems and hydrogen cars.
