Access to Higher Education Diploma
Access to Higher Education Diploma programmes are specifically designed to provide opportunities for students of 19 years of age and above, from under-represented groups, to progress to Higher Education.
Regulated by QAA, the Access to HE qualification is widely recognised by UK Universities and Colleges. Many adults have the potential and ability to study for a Degree or professional qualification but have been unable to do so because their education was disrupted due to family, financial, social or personal circumstances. They may have few, if any, formal qualifications, have been out of education for some years and thought that they had missed any opportunity to pursue goals of Higher Education.
This programme prepares you for Degree level studying, and can give you the entry requirements you need for university in one academic year. You will go through many of the essential areas of study, developing skills, such as researching information and essay writing, as well as getting to grips with using the new technology available to you. Other units you study will be relevant to Health & Social studies, such as Psychology, Sociology and Anatomy & Physiology.
