A career in the Sport could see you travel as a Sports Therapist or Team Coach; you could work as a Freelance Fitness Instructor or lead a team running outdoor activities.

Our Sport courses are available at Level/s 1

This sport qualification aims to support your personal development by helping you to acquire the skills and knowledge in sport, exercise and fitness. The qualification will also support you to gain personal transferable skills that can be applied to the workplace or further study.

English & Maths

If you haven’t achieved a GCSE Grade 4 (C) in English and/or Maths you will be required to either; take a Functional Skills qualification if you have achieved a Grade 1 or 2, or retake the GCSE if you’ve achieved Grade 3. You will be fully supported by our specialist team ahead of taking the exam.

What you will learn

In this programme you will cover topics such as – Sports Coaching, Personal Exercise, Health and Nutrition, Strength and Conditioning, leading others, and the exploration of the sports industry and employment opportunities within the sector.

Trips, visits & Guest Speakers

The Duke of Edinburgh is available (Bronze)
Guest speakers are invited into the college who represent industry
Trips are planned around learner interest and have included Army Residentials, Orienteering days, sporting events such as FUTSAL and more.

Learning & Teaching methods

Teaching will be face to face with teaching taking place over 3 days of the week.

Progression to level 2 courses at the college or into industry.
