Carpentry and Joinery

About This Course

Carpenters and joiners require an eye for detail, a sense of precision and a creative flair. If you want to train in carpentry and joinery, our experienced tutors will guide you through the skills areas in our industry-standard equipped workshops. You also have the option of training for a multi-trades qualification, including Brickwork and Joinery, with the opportunity to study one of those at a higher level. As well as this, you’ll get the chance to gain your workshop licence, plus valuable work experience with local companies and community projects. Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to future proof your skills by learning about green technology, including insulation such as underfloor, air source and ground source heating. Your workshop will be set up to highlight green technologies, showing you what’s on the market, what’s available and the equipment you’ll be using, such as rainwater harvesting, ground source heat pumps, solar panels and wind turbines.
