Hair and Beauty Skills
At Level 1, you will study a combined Hair and Beauty course which could include: • Hand care• Skin care• Nail art and shampooing• Make-up application and face painting• Women’s hair styling• Using colour to create an image• Consultation and customer service skills.

Level 1 – You will require GCSEs grade 1 or 2 equivalent, including Foundation Awards and Entry Level Certificates.
ENGLISH & MATHS
If you haven’t achieved a GCSE Grade 4 (C) in English and/or Maths, you will be required to either; take a Functional Skills qualification if you have achieved a Grade 1, or retake the GCSE if you’ve achieved Grade 2 or 3. You will be fully supported by our specialist team.
You will be expected to undertake work experience in your chosen field as part of the full time course

Whilst working in our state-of-the-art, professional training salon, you will develop skills in shampooing, conditioning, styling, colouring,and cutting These are all essential for your dream career – either working in a salon or as a self-employed stylist. You will also have the opportunity to future proof your skills, with exciting and innovative areas such as sustainability and biotech hair. With many other industries disappearing from the high street as a result of the rise in digital markets, barbering is one career that cannot be delivered online.
