Health and Social Care Young Peoples Settings
Our Health and Social Care courses cover all aspects of care for children, young people and adults in all settings. If you are looking to start a career that is challenging but rewarding then this course will provide you with the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and practical experience needed to work within the health and social care sector. You will develop knowledge of everything from current issues to nutrition, to development, to person-centred practice, to personal care and much more. Level 1 ProgrammesGCSEs grades1-2 or E to G or equivalent, including Foundation Awards and Entry Level Certificates.
Level 2 ProgrammesMinimum of 4 GCSEs grade 3 (previously D) or above including Maths and English language OR Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade 3 or above including Maths and English language and relevant subject qualification OR Minimum of Level 1 course in chosen subject at pass or above and English language and Maths at Level 1.
Level 1 students will develop their confidence, skills, knowledge and undertake simulations in the classroom to prepare them for undertaking work experience in a variety of health, social care and early years settings.
Level 2 students will undertake work experience as part of their course. This enables them to implement the knowledge learnt in the classroom into real life health and social care settings.
