About this apprenticeship

They use technical knowledge to work from drawings and specifications, select materials and ensure all electrical work is safe and meets legal requirements, including BS 7671 and health and safety regulations.

Electricians may work indoors or outdoors, independently or as part of a team, and may supervise apprentices or other workers. They communicate with customers, managers, other trades and suppliers, and are responsible for completing work safely, efficiently, to specification and on time.

Once qualified, electricians may also choose to become self-employed contractors.

This Level 3 apprenticeship has an approximate duration of 42 months and delivery is on a day-release college mode from Scarborough TEC, Filey Road, Scarborough, YO11 3AZ.

  • Work professionally and sustainably while keeping up to date with industry standards, technology and personal development.

On completion of this programme, apprentices will be fully qualified and experienced Installation and Maintenance Electricians. Allowing a successful career in the Electrical industry.
