About this apprenticeship
They plan and deliver engaging, challenging and up-to-date teaching to help learners develop knowledge, skills and behaviours and progress into employment or further study.
Teachers work with diverse learners, colleagues, employers and industry professionals, adapting their teaching to meet individual needs, including those with additional learning needs.
They work with significant independence, maintain high professional standards, keep their subject knowledge and teaching skills up to date and may also manage staff and budgets.
This Level 5 apprenticeship is wholly work based and delivered through independent study , online learning sessions and workplace visits by a Vocational Trainer Coach.
What you Will Learn
- Apply pedagogical theory and evidence-based teaching methods to support effective learning
- Design, plan and organise inclusive curriculums, lessons and learning resources
- Use varied teaching, assessment and feedback methods to meet different learner needs
- Identify barriers to learning and provide appropriate support, including safeguarding, health and wellbeing
- Engage, inspire and challenge learners while encouraging independence, resilience and personal development
- Use assessment and learner progress data to set targets, monitor achievement and improve teaching
- Develop English, maths, employability, equality, diversity and sustainability within teaching
- Communicate effectively with learners, colleagues, employers and other stakeholders, adapting communication when needed
- Use current digital technologies safely and effectively to enhance teaching, learning and assessment
- Maintain professional standards, manage workload effectively and complete continuous professional development (CPD).
