“I came onto the course after studying two years’ Performing Arts because I would love to do something in theatre, whether it’s acting or doing make-up for the shows. The course has been really good; everyone is lovely and it’s so fun. I’ve done things like work experience at the YMCA, doing make-up for The Little Mermaid, and competed in WorldSkills. I would definitely recommend the course; you learn so much more than you think and realise it’s not just about a pretty face.”

“I came to England from Syria as a refugee five years ago and couldn’t speak any English. It made it harder to learn, but the staff are very kind and have helped explain everything. I love hair; I enjoy cutting it and making different styles to create a new look. I’ve really enjoyed the course and hope to now open my own salon with a friend I met here.”
