Scarborough TEC has its very own hair and beauty salon. Whether you want to keep up with the latest trends, or look fabulous for a special night out, take advantage of fantastic discounts for hair and beauty treatments. Our range of Hair and Beauty Therapy treatments are all performed by trainee stylists and therapists under the supervision of our professional staff team.

Nineteen09 Restaurant

Our campus is home to Nineteen09, where our talented Hospitality students showcase their skills in crafting the finest international cuisine. Savour dishes prepared by some of the region’s most promising young chefs and served by our up-and-coming front-of-house talent. One evening and one lunch service is offered each week, and menus are changed termly, offering a wide range of reasonably priced meals for you to choose from.

Waves Refectory

Boasting a diverse range of meals prepared by our friendly team, the Waves Refectory is the perfect spot to grab a morning pick-me-up or unwind with a tasty lunch. With meals starting at just £3, our options are not only delicious but also budget friendly. Our menu includes premium sandwiches, wholesome home-cooked meals, freshly prepared salads, flavourful paninis and wraps, comforting jacket potatoes and soups, pizza… and so much more! Vegetarian or vegan? We’ve got you covered. The same applies to other dietary requirements; have a chat with our team – they will always be happy to help.

We also have FREE tea and toast available to our students, every day from 8.15-8.45am.

Library

When you need to escape for some peace and quiet to read or study, our library offers a bright and welcoming space, equipped with PCs and printers, perfect for individual or group research and study sessions. The unique space is designed for the ideal mix of relaxation and productivity. Whether you’re diving into your coursework or simply unwinding with a good book, our library provides the perfect setting. Grab a computer or laptop from the lockers or relax in the Hub. Plus, with free Wi-Fi available campus- wide, you can work seamlessly from your own devices.

Enrichment Activities

There is plenty on offer in terms of enrichment activities, whether its something sporty, musical or creative that you’re looking for or winding down in the wellbeing club.

Over the course of the year, there will also be various themed weeks and events offering a range of opportunities to upskill yourself and improve your mental and physical wellbeing.

Community Sports

Our campus boasts 3G Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) pitches, tennis courts and purpose-built changing rooms plus plentiful parking. These facilities are designed for use by students, staff and local sports groups during the day and evening.
