Our Art, Graphics & Media courses are available at Level/s 1, 2, 3

On our Art, Graphics & Media course you’ll learn in our great facilities and be taught by tutors who are practising artists and designers with real industry experience.

Our Art Department is packed full of specialist facilities including a painting and drawing studios, a print room, textiles, 3D design and sculpture workshops and state of the art Mac suites. We’ll develop your skills and talents and help you become part of the millions of people who work in the UK’s world-leading creative industries.

English & Maths

If you haven’t achieved a GCSE Grade 4 (C) in English and/or Maths you will be required to either; take a Functional Skills qualification if you have achieved a Grade 1 or 2, or retake the GCSE if you’ve achieved Grade 3. You will be fully supported by our specialist team ahead of taking the exam.

Our courses are tailored to your needs

All you need to do is apply for the subject of your choice and we will work out the level of course with you, using your predicted and actual GCSE results and other qualifications. Maths and English are essential subjects, if you missed out on gaining an A-C grade at school these will be studied alongside your main course to give you more opportunities in the future.

Whatever level you need to start at, if you just missed out on a grade or if you need more stretch and challenge, our courses will be tailored just for you to ensure your learning success.

We offer Level 1, 2 and 3 qualifications in Art, Graphics & Media.

What next?

You can progress through the courses at Scarborough TEC and ultimately develop a portfolio to apply through UCAS for degree level study. Many of our students stay with us to study on our highly regarded degree programmes. Alternatively, you could join some of our previous alumni at top art schools such as Goldsmith’s, Chelsea, Wimbledon, Glasgow, Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester and Newcastle.
