Level 3 & T Level Results Day

On results day we had the pleasure of welcoming our Level 3 and T Level students to Scarborough TEC to collect their results. We had a chat with students from our Music, Performing Arts Stage & Screen, Games Design and T Level Health courses to find out about their college experience and next steps.

Amy from Performing Arts Stage & Screen received a Distinction and we’re thrilled that Amy is going to the renowned Italia Conti for further studies this September. Amy shared with us the pivotal role that tutor Matt played in her journey: “The best thing about this course has been my amazing teacher Matt Stradling who has been so supportive and inspiring the whole way through”

Another Performing Arts Stage & Screen student Skylar shared the same sentiment saying: ‘The course was brilliant, and Matt was so supportive, he is an asset to the college”. Skylar is going on to study Acting and Performance at The University of Sheffield.

Our Music students also excelled with Kai and Jack from Music, Performance & Production going to The University of Nottingham this September. Kai says, “My tutor Paul Stear has been amazing, he gave me the confidence in myself to compose and perform.” Jack also expressed admiration for one of the tutors saying, “My tutor Peter challenged me to show the best of my abilities”. And finally, Cameron who wants to go into events management showed gratitude for fellow classmates saying, “The best part was the people I met along the way”.

We are immensely proud of our T Level Health students. Student Rosie is going to the University of Nottingham to Study Operating Department Practices Studies and Beth is taking a year to gain as much life and work experience as possible, whilst Grace is building on the connections made at work placement by gaining employment at a local care home, Grace says “I’ve come such a long way this year, to get such high marks”.

Nathan from Games Design is heading to Manchester Metropolitan University and shared with us how much support from tutors and fellow students can mean “My tutor Keith’s support has been amazing. And the other students on my course too, whenever we got stuck, we helped each other out, it was a really friendly environment to learn in.”

A common theme throughout the day was an appreciation of our tutors and how supportive they are, as well as a shared feeling of camaraderie between classmates. These relationships are what makes a student’s experience.

We’d like to wish all our students the best of luck for their futures and underline our admiration for our hard-working tutors and staff members as we look forward to the new academic year.
