Professional Chef students take part in WorldSkills Regional Heats

Level 2 Professional Chef students from Scarborough TEC have recently taken part in the Regional Heat of the WorldSkills UK Restaurant Service competition at Hull College.

The competition saw Chloe Robinson and Connor Gray compete in four challenges all based around a ‘Countryside’ theme.  The students were tasked with creating a cocktail and mocktail, designing a menu for an awards ceremony, preparing an americano, cappuccino and latte and creating a table display, as you can see pictured.

Scarborough TEC currently has 12 students entered into WorldSkills UK competitions, which helps young people ‘Go Further, Faster’, by spearheading the use of competition in the workplace, training centres, schools and colleges to inspire the next generation and fill the skills gap.

Good luck to all of our students taking part and we will bring further news as the results come in!
