We are a further and higher education college in Scarborough supported by a larger college group, the TEC Partnership. Scarborough TEC’s campus, located on Filey Road in Scarborough, has a fantastic range of facilities and services for its learners. Whether you want to chill out in Waves Refectory, get a new haircut or treatment at IMAGE Hair & Beauty Salon or try a fine-dining experience in our onsite restaurant NINETEEN09, you are bound to find something to keep you busy when you are not in the classroom or tutorials.

Scarborough TEC includes dedicated facilities for the teaching of Catering & Hospitality, Childcare, Health & Social Care, Creative and Performing Arts, Business, Computing, Games Design, Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Media Make-Up and many other technical and professional areas. Scarborough TEC has a state-of-the-art Construction & Engineering Centre. As well as classrooms, you’ll find many realistic working environments which will provide you with innovative and inspiring spaces just like the real world. IMAGE salon and NINETEEN09 restaurant are great examples, but we also have a theatre, music studios, gymnasium, training and skills kitchens, art workshops, fashion/textiles studios and so much more.

There is a firm emphasis on the development of flexible, higher-level skills, which have been identified as a key requirement for the wider economy going forward. Scarborough TEC also offers a wide range of apprenticeships and work-based training. We pride ourselves on the close working relationships we have with local, regional and national employers. As part of this, we make sure we provide our learners with the chance to undertake work experience opportunities that will give them the skills we know employers are looking for.

Scarborough TEC provides a clear line of sight to work and careers. It is our aim is to put a relentless focus on quality in teaching and to do so in a high-quality environment so that we deliver an excellent outcome for every student, be that an apprenticeship, job, job promotion or place studying degree-level qualifications. We also work collaboratively with other partners to deliver a range of higher education programmes that broaden the opportunities to study for a degree and other qualifications.
