You’ll find yourself centre stage when you study Performing Arts at Scarborough TEC.

Explore all aspects of the performing arts industry including music, dance, acting, physical theatre, musical theatre and theatre studies.

You’ll learn about the principles of acting, classical and contemporary theatre performance and drama improvisation, in dance you will learn contemporary techniques, choreography and international dance.

Visits to see musical theatre in both London and other notable places to give you the chance to experience live performance up close and personal. Guest speakers including musicians, West End actors, directors and producers and television actors will share their wealth of knowledge with you.

Our courses are tailored to you

All you need to do is apply for the subject of your choice and we will work out the level of course with you, using your predicted and actual GCSE results and other qualifi cations. Maths and English are essential subjects, if you missed out on gaining an A-C grade at school these will be studied alongside your main course to give you more opportunities in the future.

Whatever level you need to start at, if you just missed out on a grade or if you need more stretch and challenge, our courses will be tailored just for you to ensure your learning success.You can study Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in performing arts at Scarborough TEC.

What next?

UCAS points are available upon completion of a Level 3 course which means you could move onto higher education at university, drama school or dance school.
