Animal Care

At Scarborough TEC, our Animal Care programs offer a highly practical approach, providing students with the opportunity to interact closely with a diverse range of animals. Participants will gain knowledge and skills in animal care, including aspects such as health, nursing, kennel management, welfare, feeding, and accommodation.

Additionally, students will benefit from insights shared by guest speakers from various sectors of the industry, including specialists in exotic animals and veterinary professionals, who will impart their valuable experience and expertise.

“I chose this course because I’d like to be a vet or do another career working with animals. It’s really hands on, which I enjoy because I like being with animals, making sure they’re ok and looking after them. I’ve done some extra work helping out with lambing as well which I really enjoyed; I’ve never been so close to one being born before. I love the course; it’s really fun.”
