Vehicle Building Engineering apprenticeship opportunities being offered by Scarborough TEC and Alexander Dennis Limited (Plaxton)

Scarborough TEC, in partnership with Alexander Dennis Limited (Plaxton) are offering young people the chance to get ahead in the Engineering industry with a chance to apply for a number of Apprenticeships in Vehicle Building starting this September.

Applications are now welcome from anyone aged 16-17 (as of 1st September 2018) and recruitment will be based on merit with successful candidates selected on a number of criteria, including the following:

• They should currently hold, or are likely to gain, GCSE English, Maths and Science or Technology subject at Grade 4 (C) or above
• They must possess an excellent school record of achievement and attendance
• They should have a positive and flexible attitude to work
• They must be committed to all aspects of the Apprenticeship and able to work as part of our team.

The closing date for applications is Friday 8^thJune at 4.30pm. Debbie Hilton, Scarborough TEC’s Head of Business Development, said: “Scarborough TEC are pleased to continue to work in partnership with Alexander Dennis Limited (Plaxton) by supporting the recruitment of their apprentices for 2018/19.

All application forms however must be returned to Scarborough TEC, Filey Road, Scarborough, YO11 3AZ. Please note that the closing date for returning application forms is Friday 8th June 2018.

Applicants will be required to attend a preliminary interview and assessment days at Scarborough TEC during June and/or July with final interviews July 2018.
